McHenry County Man Arrested for Child Pornography

A McHenry County man was arrested after child pornography was allegedly found on his computer.

James A. Borca, 48, of 4117 E. Wonder Lake Dr. in Wonder Lake was charged with four counts of aggravated child pornography, child pornography and four counts of aggravated assault.

According to the , thousands of files containing child pornography were found on Borca’s computer after a search warrant was executed at Borca's residence in October.

After an eight-month investigation, deputies arrested Borca at his residence Tuesday. According to the sheriff's office, Borca threatened sheriff’s deputies and a Wonder Lake police officer during his arrest, which resulted in the four additional charges for aggravated assault.

Borca was transported to McHenry County Correctional Facility without incident.

Borca’s bond for the previous and new charges totaled $70,000. He was given a Dec. 21 court date.
