Materials Stolen from Crystal Lake Distributor
Woolf Distributors reported deck-building materials were stolen from its location.
McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about a theft at in unincorporated Crystal Lake to contact police.
The burglary of an unspecified amount of Azek brand decking material took place during the overnight hours of May 8 and 9, said Lt. James Popovitz. Police were notified of the theft May 16.
“It was discovered through an inventory process,” said Lt. James Popovitz.

Popovitz declined to give specifics of the burglary as the investigation is still ongoing.
“We have some leads,” Popovitz said. “We’re requesting help from the community for additional information.”

Popovitz said it is hoped someone may have noticed suspicious activity during those dates when the business was closed.
