UPDATE: Name Released of Man Run Over, Killed in 'Bobcat' Accident

Emergency crews responded to the area at 14308 Hemmingsen Road around 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 1.

McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski has released the name of the 59-year-old man killed on Tuesday when he was run over by a Bobcat vehicle while working at Pleasant Valley Conservation Area in Union.

Marco O. Aguilar, of the 1400 block of North Green Meadows Blvd., Streamwood, was pronounced dead on the scene of the accident in Union, Majewski said in a news release.

Aguilar was working inside a pole barn maintenance building at conservation area, located at 14308 Hemmingsen Rd., Union, when he was struck by a Bobcat vehicle being used to prepare and grade the floor of the building, Majewski said. The McHenry County Conservation District owns the property. 

Aguilar was pronounced dead at 9:48 a.m. on the scene Oct. 1. An autopsy performed Wednesday revealed multiple injuries to Aguilar's head, chest, abdomen and bones, Majewski said. 

The McHenry County Conservation Police, McHenry County Sheriff’s Police and O.S.H.A. are also investigating the accident

Marengo/Union Fire and Rescue responded to the 911 call.

A 59-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning after being run over by a skid steer, which is similar to a Bobcat, while working as an outside contractor at the McHenry County Conservation District's Pleasant Valley Conservation Area. 

Emergency crews responded to the area at 14308 Hemmingsen Road around 10 a.m. and the man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of his family, was pronounced dead at the scene.
