A Grayslake man discovered the reason for his dog’s barking the evening before when he discovered that his prized holiday decoration, "Pigasus," had been taken from the front yard. The winged pink pig had lights and an angel halo. The man has replaced him with a similar pig he has named “Swine Flew” but says Pigasus was really irreplaceable.

A Lake Bluff officer responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller said a green conversion van was parking in driveways and the driver was walking up to the front doors of houses. The officer spoke with the driver, who said he was delivering flowers and was lost and was asking for directions at the homes.
Northbrook police pulled over a 20-year-old Northbrook man for a traffic violation and determined he was intoxicated, according to police. While being arrested, he head butted the officer.
