Local Man Sentenced for 7th DUI

The former McHenry man had a blood alcohol content of .230.

 A former McHenry man was sentenced to eight years in prison for his seventh driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a McHenry State's Attorney press release. 

Ismael Luna was sentenced on a class one aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol charge, according to the news release. 

Luna was driving his Nissan Altima on Algonquin Road on Feb. 25, 2012 when he collided with another vehicle, according to the news release. The Northwest Herald report that when Algonquin Police arrested Luna, they found a open bottle of Jack Daniel's in "the car's center console."

Police reported Luna had bloodshot and glossy eyes, slurred speech and later urinated on himself while speaking to police. He had a blood alcohol content of .230, according to the news release.
