Crystal Lake Student Struck by Car

Emergency crews were outside Hannah Beardsley School early Wednesday morning.

A Hannah Beardsley student was struck by a car just before 7 a.m. Wednesday, according to scanner reports.

Emergency crews were parked in front of the school, located at 515 E. Crystal Lake Ave. in , just after 7 a.m.

A school official and an emergency technician declined to comment on the situation. The technician did confirm that somebody was being taken to Centegra Hospital-McHenry and that a Flight for Life helicopter had been called. The technician declined to say where Flight for Life would be taking the victim.
