Several DUI Arrests; Juvenile Arrests for Drug Possession and More

Police arrest reports for adults and juveniles from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Note: The following information was obtained from Crystal Lake Police arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

DUI-Drugs

Alexa B. Eaton, 18, of the 300 block of Forest Drive, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 19, and charged with driving under the influence of drugs. She was released on a notice to appear in court Nov. 26.

Matthew D. Engel, 21, of the 1000 block of Wheatland Ct., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 22, and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 26. 

DUI

Carrie A. Podgorski, 35, of the 2800 block of Cobblestone Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 25, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08. She is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 21. 

Nancy L. Laatz, 49, of Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 23, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She was scheduled to appear in court Nov. 19.

Nichole A. Germain, 22, of the 2000 block of Willowbrook Dr., Woodstock, was arrested Oct. 24, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08. She is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 19.

Janet J. Sikula, 42, of the 6300 block of Edgewood Rd., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 27, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08. She was scheduled to appear in court Nov. 12. 

Brian R. Van Scoy, 25, of the 1300 block of Parkridge Ct., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 27, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 19. 

Wanted on Warrant

Nicholas A. Cwikla, 38, of the 800 block of Pointe Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 21, on a warrant out of McHenry County for unlawful possession of a controlled substance. He was scheduled to appear in court Nov. 13.

Thomas P. Coffaro, 50, of the 600 block of Euclid Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested Oct. 25, on a warrant out of Kendall County for larceny. He was scheduled to appear in court Nov. 14. 


Hit and Run

Oscar D. Gutierrez, 26, of the 700 block of Sussex Lane, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 18, and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage, possession of a fraudulent identification card, and driving on a suspended drivers license. He was scheduled to appear in court Nov. 12.


Juvenile Arrests

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 17, and charged with possession of 10 to 30 grams of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 22, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. 

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 4, and charged with battery/ making physical contact. 

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 12, and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor.

A 13-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 28, and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 28, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 13-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 30, and charged with theft of property valued under $300.

A 13-year-old juvenile was arrested Sept. 25, and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested Sept. 20, and charged with domestic battery/ causing bodily harm.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested Sept. 3, and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis.

A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested Sept. 4, and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis.

A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested Sept. 4, and charged with driving without a drivers license/ not of age to have a drivers license.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested Aug. 21, and charged with driving without having been issued a drivers license, and criminal trespass to vehicle.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested Aug. 24, and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis.

A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested Sept. 1, and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.
