Employee Charged with Stealing from Barnes & Noble

Tristan A. Hacki, 28, 1302 Louise St., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 2, and charged with theft. Hacki stole approximately $6,000 over the course of several months from Barnes & Noble, 5380 Route 14, Crystal Lake, police said.

Mary Beth Schuster, 42, 1045 Whitehall Way, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 1, and charged with one count of retail theft under $300. Police said Schuster stole a cart full of groceries valued at $260 from Jewel Food Store, 6140 Route 14, Crystal Lake. Bond was set at 10 percent of $1,500. Schuster is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 20.
Roger A. Sheetz III, 24, 11703 Harthorne Way, Huntley, was arrested Oct. 3, and charged with retail theft. Sheetz III took a wiring kit for an amplifier, valued at $35, from Walmart, 1205 Route 31. Sheetz posted 10 percent of $1,500 bond and was released. Sheetz is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 13.
Juvenile Arrest Blotter
A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 4, and charged with one count possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis and one count possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile was awaiting a court date.
A 13-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 5, and charged with one count of reckless conduct/ bodily harm.
Another 13-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct 5, and charged with one count of reckless conduct/ bodily harm.
A 14-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 5, and charged with one count of illegal possession/ consumption of alcohol by a minor. The juvenile was issued a notice to appear in court next month.
A 17-year-old juvenile was arrested Oct. 6, and charged with one count of retail theft valued at less than $150, and one count possession of tobacco by a minor. The juvenile was awaiting a court date to be set.
