Crystal Lake Police Blotter: Battery, Underage Drinking, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Note: An arrest does not constitute a conviction. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law. The following information was obtained from reports from the Crystal Lake Police Deapartment.

Underage Drinking

Jose M. Huerta, 18, 80 N. Wolf Rd. 3, Wheeling, was arrested Oct. 1, and charged with possession/ consumption of alcohol by a minor. Huerta was transported to the McHenry County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 13. 

Battery

Rene Lopez, 44, 527 Maple St., Carpentersville, was  arrested Oct. 1, and charged with one count of battery/ causing bodily harm. Bond was set at 10 percent of $1,500. Lopez is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 am. Nov. 6.

Order of Protection Violation

Derek S. Gabriel, 24, 2809 Tower Dr., McHenry, was arrested Oct. 1, and charged with one count of violating an order of protection. Gabriel was transferred to the McHenry County Sherrif's Office, where he was awaiting bond and a court date.

Failure to Register as Sex Offender

Rondan Keith, 41, 532 Chard Ct., Grayslake, was arrested Oct. 2, on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000. Keith is scheduled to appear in court at 9 a.m. Nov. 6.

Outstanding Warrant

Marvin V. Whittley, 44, 110 Virginia St. 1, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 3, on an outstanding McHenry County Sheriff's Office warrant for contempt of court. Whittley posted $100 bond, and was released. Whittley was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 15.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Dylan M. Beene, 26, 1657 Carlemont Dr. B, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 4, and charged with one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Beene posted 10 percent of a $1,500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 20.

Jeffrey J. Hauck, 26, homeless, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 7, and charged with one count of obstructing identification, one count obstructing arrest, one count possession of drug paraphernalia and one count possession of hypodermic needles/ syringe. Hauck also was wanted on two outstanding warrants for one theft and one parole violation charge. Hauck was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office. Bond was set at $21,500. Hauck is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 20.

Timothy P. Swanson, 27, 110 Cunat Blvd., Richmond, was arrested Oct. 8, and charged with one count possession of drug paraphernalia, and one count possession less than 2.5 grams marijuana. Swanson was transferred to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, where he was awaiting bond and a court date.

Ronald B. Jozwick, 18, 158 W. Woodstock St. E, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 9, and charged with one count possession of drug paraphernalia and one count possession of between 2.5 to 10 grams marijuana. Jozwick posted 10 percent of a $1,500 bond and was released. Jozwick is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 6.

Driving Without License 

Augusto Landa, 37, 660 Eletson Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 8, and charged with one count of avoiding a traffic control device, one count of driving while never having been issued a license, and one count of operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Landa posted a $100 bail and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 13.
