Crystal Lake Police Blotter: DUIs, Underage Drinking

Note: The following information was obtained from Crystal Lake Police Department arrest reports. An arrest does not constitute a conviction. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

DUI

Daniel J. Pieplow, 19, 886 Canterbury Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 16 and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of improper lane use. Pieplow posted $100 and his drivers license and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 27.

Karen L. Engelking, 57, 3206 Plum Grove Rd., Rolling Meadows, was arrested Oct. 22, and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood alcohol level over .08, and one count of failure to reduce speed. Bond was set at 10 percent of $3,000. She was scheduled to appear in court Nov. 6.

James L. Pickens, 43, 587 St. Andews Ct., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 27, and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI of alcohol/ intoxicating compounds, one count possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI with a blood-alcohol content of .08, one count driving on a suspended drivers license, one count operating an uninsured motor vehicle, one count of driving the wrong way on a one-way street, and one count of possession of less than 2.5 grams cannabis. Pickens posted 10 percent of $4,500 and was released. Pickens is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 27.

Adam J. Gaughan, 20, 980 Waterford Cut, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 27, and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $4,500; $3,000 for the DUI and $1,500 for paraphernalia. Gaughan was transferred to McHenry County Jail. Gaughan is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20.

Terrance J. Riordan, 55, 220 Deer Run Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 28, and was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, and one count of improper lane use. Riordan posted $100 cash and his drivers license and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20.

Jennifer L. Musielak, 47, 373 Terra Cotta Ave. 8, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 30, and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of DUI with a blood alcohol content of over .08. Musielak was transported to the McHenry County Jail. She is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20.

DUI/ Underage Drinking

Christopher K. Huber, 20, 5618 Hawthorne, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 20, and charged with one count of consumption of alcohol by a minor, one count driving under the influence of alcohol, one count DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08, and one count of leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage, police reports show. Huber is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 15.

Mackenzie A. Connell, 20, 57 Catherine Ct., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 20, and charged with one count illegal possession/ consumption of alcohol by a minor. Connell is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 15.
