Crystal Lake Police Blotter: Drugs and DUIs

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Crystal Lake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. 

ALCOHOL 

Eric James Bieniek, 20, 250 Victoria Lane, Elk Grove Village, was charged Aug. 13 with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. He was released on $150 bond with a Sept. 6 court date.

Kevin A. Kesseler, 18, 1071 Waterford Cut, Crystal Lake, was charged Aug. 15 with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released on a notice to appear with a Sept. 27 court date. 

Alex Geovanny Cerrato, 25, 627 Virginia Road, No. 109, Crystal Lake, was charged Aug. 15 with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle and following too closely. He was released on $300 bond with a Sept. 13 court date.

Cody Kurt Johansson, 24, 363 Buckingham Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged Aug. 21 with driving while under the influence of alcohol and disregarding a traffic control device. He was released on $100 bond, his driver’s license and with a Sept. 20 court date. 

DRIVING OFFENSES 

Geovany Nova Esquivel, 18, 425 Berkshire Drive, No. 26, Crystal Lake, was charged Aug. 13 with driving without a valid driver’s license and improper lane use. He was released on $150 bond with a Sept. 20 court date. 

Stephen James Sobeski, 22, 644 Chasefield Lane, No. 3, Crystal Lake, was charged Aug. 15 with failure to reduce speed to avoid a collision, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to notify damage to unattended vehicle and improper lane use. He was released with his driver’s license as bond and with a Sept. 27 court date. 

Ricky Pearce, 31, 703 Wheeler St., Unit A, Woodstock, was charged Aug. 15 with operating an uninsured vehicle and arrested on a Boone County warrant for failure to appear for suspended or revoked registration. He was released on $368 bond with a court date to be set and a Boone County court date to be set. 

Fermin Villarreal-Espinoza, 32, 2008 Berkshire Circle, Unit B, Carpentersville, was charged Aug. 15 with driving without a valid driver’s license and operation of a wireless device in a construction zone. He was released on $150 bond with a Sept. 20 court date. 

Jonathon R. Lameyer, 25, 323 E. Harrison St., Belvidere, was arrested Aug. 16 on a Boone County warrant for failure to appear for a traffic offense. He was released on $1,000 bond with a Sept. 2 Boone County court date. 

Omar Barranco-Velez, 26, 4109 Lillian St., McHenry, was charged Aug. 16 with driving while license suspended and operation of a wireless device in a construction zone. He was released on $150 bond with a Sept. 15 court date. 

Richard Angel Ocasio, 33, 321 W. Terra Cotta Ave., No. 8, Crystal Lake, was charged Aug. 18 with driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released on $150 bond with a Sept. 20 court date. 

DRUGS 

Bryan Paul Sokoloski, 21, 47 Barberry Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged Aug. 14 with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of cannabis and arrested on warrants out of McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for domestic battery, driving without a valid driver’s license and while license suspended and for driving while under the influence of alcohol. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set.
