Crystal Lake Police Reports: Men Beat Victim Behind Bar, Retail Theft, Two Leave Accident Scene

Crystal Lake Police release arrest reports for Nov. 27 to Dec. 18, 2012.

Battery/ Mob Action

Jacob R. Stanton, 23, 57 Woodbine Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Dec. 12, and charged with aggravated battery in a public place and one count of mob action. Stanton was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, where bond was set at $25,000. He was awaiting a court date.

Dana D. R. Turcotte, 24, 601 Ridgeland, Woodstock, was arrested Dec. 12, and charged with aggravated battery in a public place, mob action, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended drivers license and failure to signal. Turcotte was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, where bond amounts were set at $20,000 for a count warrant, and $3,000 for the local charges. Turcotte was awaiting a court date.

Police said Stanton and Turcotte battered another man in the alley behind a bar located on Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake. The victim sustained moderate injuries to his face, according to police.

Retail Theft

Connie L. Conrad, 49, 716 Phoenix St. A6, Delavan, was arrested Dec. 18, and charged with one count retail theft of merchandise valued under $300. Police said Conrad stole miscellaneous items from Hobby Lobby, 6250 Route 14. such as hangers and magnets. Conrad posted $150 bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 22.

Alexandra Cascone, 18, 103 Capella Ct., Lake in the Hills, was arrested Dec. 20, and charged with retail theft. Police said Cascone stole jewelry and clothing from Kohl's, 5420 Route 14. Cascone posted bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 22.

Leaving Scene of Accident

Jorge A. Navas, 32, 251 Dartmoor Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Nov. 27, and charged with one count of failure to notify damage to an unatttended vehicle, one count driving on a suspended drivers license, one count of leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Navas posted 10 percent of a $1,500 bond and was released. He was scheduled to appear in court Dec. 18.

Kyra N. Brim, 28, 428 Linn St., Crystal Lake, was arrested Dec. 5, and charged with one count of driving on a revoked license, one count leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage, one count driver failing to notify of an accident and failure to reduce speed. Brim posted $150 cash bond and was released. She was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 15.

Driving on Suspended License

Christopher Cortes-Galvez, 33, 122 W. Woodstock St. 3-C, Crystal Lake, was arrested Dec. 3, and charged with one count of driving on a suspended license, one count having an uninsured motor vehicle and failure to reduce speed. Galvez posted bond and was released. He was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 15.

Driving: Never Issued License

Victor Herrera, 47, 1600 North Ave. 10, Crystal Lake, was arrested Dec. 4, and charged with one count of driving without ever having been issued a drivers license, and one count operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Herrera posted bond and was released. He was scheduled to appear in court Dec. 18.

Juan Perez-Campos, 50, 967 Aberdeen Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Dec. 4, and charged with one count not having a drivers license -never having been issued a drivers license and one count of disregarding a stop sign. Campos posted $100 bond and was released. He was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 15.
