The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Crystal Lake Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. 

ALCOHOL 

Thomas R. Schimka, 47, 660 Perrie Drive, Elk Grove Village, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked and with one headlight on April 23. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office and given a June 14 court date.

Andrew Phillip Shea, 46, 17W476 Washington St., Wooddale, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and a blood alcohol level over .08, illegal transportation of alcohol, attempting to flee or elude a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, reckless driving, speeding and disregarding a traffic control device on April 24. He was released on $100 bond and his driver’s license and has a May 17 court date. 

Michael A. Montenegro, 19, 306 Lily Lake Road, McHenry, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor on April 28. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set.

Michael A. Ferrante, 20, 298 Rustic Court, Cary, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor on April 28. He was released on a notice to appear and a June 7 court date. 

Jerry W. Vandall, Jr., 34, 112 New Haven Drive, Cary, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, aggravated DUI and driving without proof of insurance on April 28. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set. 

Justin Javier Blanco-Klein, 21, 436 Spring Ridge Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and a blood alcohol level over .08, no valid registration and speeding on April 30. He was released on $100 bond and his driver’s license. He has a June 28 court date. 

Aubrey Spellman Vining, 19, no known address, was charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and two counts of domestic battery on May 5. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set. 

DRUGS  

Kevin Mark Koenig, 20, 7613 S. Meadow Lane, Cary, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to signal turn and no front license plate on May 5. He was released on $150 bond and a June 7 court date. 

Bernardo Anselmo Diaz, 25, 28 Clover Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle on May 4. He was released on $300 bond and a June 7 court date. 

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia on April 27. The juvenile was released to a parent with a court date to be set. 

DRIVING OFFENSES 

Andrea Martinez-Herrera, 40, 307 Berkshire Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, on April 27. She was released on $150 bond and a June 7 court date. 

Ivan Contreras, 22, 1850 Tall Oaks Drive, Aurora, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured vehicle, failure to yield while exiting a private drive and no headlights when required on April 28. He was released on $150 bond and a May 24 court date. 

Lawrence M. Pesz, 24, 29758 W. Roberts Road, Island Lake, was arrested on a warrant out of McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for driving while license suspended on April 29. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set. 

Ricky Vincent Vu, 22, 2823 E. Wonder Lake Blvd., Wonder Lake, was charged with driving while license suspended and speeding on April 29. He was released on $150 bond and a May 17 court date. 

Luis Gustavo Herrera-Ortiz, 21, 589 Darlington Lane, #18, Crystal Lake, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and disregarding a traffic control device on April 29. He was released on $150 bond and a June 14 court date. 

Jose Luis Cervantes, 22, 125 Peachtree Lane, Woodstock, was charged with driving while license suspended and speeding on May 8. He was released on $150 bond and a June 7 court date. 

Mario Orozco-Mejia, 34, 803 Muriel Drive, Woodstock, was charged with driving without a valid driver’s license, driving in the wrong lane of traffic and improper turn on May 9. He was released on $150 bond and a June 14 court date. 

Mary K. Greenwell, 50, 3312 Route 176, Prairie Grove, was charged with driving while license revoked, operating an uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage on May 5. She was released on $150 bond and a June 21 court date. 

Froylan Murillo Alonso, 23, 233 Uteg St., #5, Crystal  Lake, was charged with driving while license suspended on May 2. He was released on $150 bond and a June 7 court date. 

Erik Javier Avila, 31, 1032 Chastleshire Drive, Woodstock, was charged with driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured vehicle and one red tail light on May 2. He was released on $150 bond and a June 28 court date. 

ASSAULT 

Richard Angel Ocasio, 33, 10519 Charles Road, Woodstock, was arrested on a warrant out of Boone County for aggravated assault on May 4. He was released on $750 bond and a Boone County court date May 20. 

BATTERY 

Brian Santiago Alverez, 30, 502 Northwest Highway, Fox River Grove, was charged with aggravated battery and mob action on April 17. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set. 

Omar Santiago Alverez, 33, 313 11th Ave. N, St. Cloud, Minn., was charged with aggravated battery and mob action on April 17. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set. 

Leanel Vaughn, III, 28, 1104 Third St. SW, #4, Faribault, Minn., was charged with aggravated battery and mob action on April 17. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set. 

Timothy Patrick Piorkowski, 28, 1238 Amberwood Drive, Crystal Lake, was charged with domestic battery, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and criminal damage to property on April 28. He was turned over to McHenry County Sheriff’s Office with a court date to be set. 

Javier Flores, 23, 341 Terra Cotta Ave., #4, Crystal Lake, was arrested for a warrant out of McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear for battery on May 7. He was released on $500 bond and a May 24 court date. 

THEFT 

A 17-year-old juvenile was charged with theft of $500 and under on April 20. The juvenile was released to a parent with a court date to be set. 

Daniel Dwight Hightower, 24, 725 Cumnor Ave., Barrington, was charged with attempted theft on April 23. He was released on $150 bond. Court date to be set. 

A 15-year-old juvenile was charged with theft from a motor vehicle and theft of $300 and under May 2. The juvenile was turned over to Lake in the Hills Police Department with a court date to be set. 

A 16-year-old juvenile was charged with theft from a motor vehicle and theft of $300 and under on May 2. The juvenile was released to a parent. Court date to be set. 

Shaun Michael Peters, 29, 215 Lakeshore Drive, Oakwood Hills, was charged with retail theft on May 4. He was released on $150 bond and a June 7 court date. 

Jacqueline Marie Webster, 28, 3209 Prairie View Drive, Prairie Grove, was charged with retail theft on May 6. She was released on $150 bond and a June 14 court date. 

OTHER OFFENSES

A 14-year-old juvenile was charged with criminal defacement of state supported property on March 11. The juvenile was released to a parent. Court date to be set.
