Crystal Lake Police: Arrests for Retail Theft of Computer, HD-TV, Liquor

Note: The following information was obtained from Crystal Lake Police arrest reports. An arrest is an accusation and does not constitute guilt. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

Retail Theft

Reveland D. Moses, 20, 192 Elmhurst St. 105, Crystal Lake, was arrested Dec. 31, 2012, and charged with retail theft. Police said Moses attempted to steal a computer from Walmart, 1205 S. Route 31, Crystal Lake. She posted 10 percent of a $1,500 bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 5.

Sandra L. Elliott, 22, of Cary, was arrested Jan. 9, and charged with retail theft. Update Dec. 9, 2013: charges against Elliott were dropped. 

Steven Medina, 18, 7411 Manor Rd., Crystal Lake, was arrested Jan. 12, and charged with retail theft, one count possesion/ consumption of alcohol, and one count obstructing identification. Police said Medina attempted to steal a bottle of liquor from Dominick's Food Store, 5340 Route 14, Crystal Lake. Medina posted bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 26.

Felony Retail Theft

John J. Minnicki, 26, 631 Grace St. 1, Elgin, was arrested Jan. 9, and charged with felony retail theft. Police said Minnicki attempted to steal several bottles of alcohol from Walmart, 1205 S. Route 31, Crystal Lake. Minnicki was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office Jail, where he was awaiting bond and a court date.

Sean D. Greenwood, 41, 2053 W. 70th Place, Chicago, was arrested Jan. 9, and charged with felony retail theft and criminal trespass to land. Police said Greenwood attempted to steal a high definition TV and other miscellaneous merchandise from 1205 S. Route 31, Crystal Lake. Greenwood was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office Jail, where he was awaiting bond and a court date.

Theft

Philip J. Dawson, 25, 4807 Daniel Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Jan. 4, and charged with theft. Police said Dawson tried to steal property from a gym locker at 200 E. Congress Parkway, Crystal Lake. He was also wanted on a McHenry County warrant for attempted theft. He paid $500 bond and was released. He was scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 29.
