Crystal Lake Police Arrests: DUIs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Warrants

Note: The following information was obtained from Crystal Lake Police arrest reports. An arrest is only an accusation and does not constitute a conviction. An individual can only be found guilty in a court of law.

DUI, Possession of Marijuana

John J. McConville, 22, 1807 Blossom St., Crystal Lake, was arrested Dec. 20, and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol/ intoxicating compound, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count possession of 2.5 to 10 grams marijuana, and one count disregarding a traffic control light. McConville posted $450 and was released. He was scheduled to appear in court Dec. 15.

DUI

Richard Anthony Scharff, 28, 10414 W. 134th St., Palos Park, was arrested Dec. 30, and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, and one count of DUI with blood-alcohol level over .08. Scharfff was also wanted on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court. Scharff was transported to McHenry County Sheriff's Office, where bond was set at $3,000 (10 percent applies). He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 12.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Charles A. Williams, 25, 210 Elmhurst St. 302, Crystal Lake, was arrested Dec. 31, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Williams was transported to the McHenry County Jail, where his bond was set at $1,500. He was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 15.

John R. Crawford, 18, 825 Darlington Ln., Crystal Lake, was arrested Jan. 15, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Crawford was transported to the McHenry County Jail, where he was awaiting bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 19.

Garrett T. Baumann, 18, 609 Green Brier Ct., Crystal Lake, was arrested Jan. 14, and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Baumann posted 10 percent of a $1,500 bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court March 5.

Failure to Notify Damage

Diana S. Minjares, 69, 7 Cambridge Ct., Cary, was arrested Jan. 3, and charged with failure to notify damage to an unattended vehicle. Minjares posted bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 19.

Wanted on Warrant

Lea A. Metzig, 32, 1922 Sheila St., Woodstock, was arrested Nov. 24, on a McHenry County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear in court. Metzig was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, where bond was set at $5,000. She was awaiting a court date.

Brandon W. Burnett, 26, 14411 Kishwaukee Valley Rd., Woodstock, was arrested Dec. 8, on a McHenry County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear on possession of cannabis charges. Burnett was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, where bond was set at $5,000, and he was awaiting a court date.

Michael F. Alejandro, 43, 11809 Mill St., Huntley, was arrested Dec. 10, on a McHenry County Sheriff's Office warrant for failure to appear on domestic battery charges. Bond was set at $500, and Alejandro was scheduled to appear in court Dec. 31.
