Crystal Lake Police Arrest Wis. Man for Possession of Child Porn

Crystal Lake police arrested a 52-year-old Darien, Wis., man last week on several charges of possession of child pornography.

A $50,000 bond has been set for Jeffrey A. Vesley who is charged with 13 counts of child pornography. He was in court Friday and is expected back in court on April 21 for a preliminary hearing, according to online court records.

Police arrested Vesley at 4 p.m. on April 1 in Crystal Lake following an investigation that began in August 2013 after police said they obtained a DVD containing several images of suspected child pornography, according to a Crystal Lake Police Department press release.

Police then located a computer belonging to Vesley and obtained a search warrant for the computer, according to the press release.

A forensic examination was conducted and police said the computer was found to contain hundreds of additional images, which were confirmed as child pornography through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
