Crystal Lake Police Blotter: Drug Possession, DUIs, Outstanding Warrants

Drug Possession

Charles D. Gaard, 27, 177 Ellsworth-2, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 8, and charged with one count manufacturing/ delivering between 10-30 grams cannabis, one count possession between 10 to 30 grams cannabis and one count possession of drug paraphernalia. Gaard was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office where he was awaiting bond and a court date.

DUI

Obel Rodas, 42, 929 Abbington Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 11, and charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, one count DUI with blood alcohol level over .08, one count driving- never issued license, one count improper lane use, one count operating an uninsured motor vehicle, and other driving citations. Rodas was transported to the McHenry County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 13. 

Michael E. Schultz, 29, 931 Shefield Dr., was arrested Oct. 17, and charged with one count driving under the influence of alcohol, and one count driving on a suspended drivers license. Schultz posted bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20. 

Battery

Kyle J. Bender, 21, 931 Waterford Cut, Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 13, and charged with one count of battery/ causing bodily harm. Bender posted $150 bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 13. 

Outstanding Warrant

Victor H. Rios-Mejia, 31, 216 Shipland Dr., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 14, on an in-state warrant for failure to appear in court for not having a valid drivers license Mejia was cited for noise violation. Mejia posted 10 percent of a $5,000 bond, and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20. 

Justin A. Bromberg, 20, 114 Delaware St., Crystal Lake, was arrested Oct. 17, on an outstanding McHenry County warrant for disorderly conduct. Bromberg posted bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20.

Kurt R. Sahlberg, 25, 304 Charlotte Ln., Crystal Lake, was arrested on an in-state warrant for theft. Sahlberg was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff's Office, and posted $150. Sahlberg is scheduled to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. Nov. 7.
