Cops Take to the Roof to Benefit Special Olympics

Crystal Lake Police Department participates in 'Cops on the Roof' event.

There were literally cops on the roof when personnel participated in the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics. The "Cop on the Roof" event took place on the roof of the Dunkin Donuts in Crystal Lake from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Special Olympic hats, T-shirts and coffee mugs were sold, with all the proceeds going directly to Special Olympics Illinois. Further, donations of any amount will be accepted in support of this event.
