Papageorgiou's Hyundai struck several trees and a utility pole, Nygren said. No other vehicles were involved in the crash, which occured near 8550 Ridgefield Rd., Crystal Lake.

Papageorgiou did not have any passengers in his car, and alcohol is believed to have been a factor, Nygren said.
