Cary Police, Fire Protection District Face Off at Chili Competition

Stop by Jewel Osco in Cary to try chili from the Cary Police and Cary Fire Protection District.

Jewel-Osco, located at 696 Northwest Highway, will host a chili cooking competition between the two agencies from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 14.

The public is encouraged to stop by Jewel-Osco and visit the Chef's Kitchen area to taste the two department's recipes.

The police department will be represented by Chief Steven Casstevens and the Fire District will be represented by Captain Ken Destree.

The public will have an opportunity to cast their vote for the best chili, and to make a donation.
