Cary Man Among Five Arrested on Drug Charges in LITH Home

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office conducted a search of 535 Delaware Drive in Lake in the Hills on Sept. 6.

 

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office arrested five men at a Lake in the Hills home last week on heroin and marijuana charges.

The men now face several felony charges following a Sept. 6 search of 535 Delaware Drive in Lake in the Hills.

Investigators served a search warrant on that date and located around 15.2. grams of heroin, 2.5 grams of marijuana, syringes, packaging material, grinders and digital scales, according to a McHenry County Sheriff's Office. 

Among those arrested are a 28-year-old Lake in the Hills man, Timothy R. Hastings, who lived at the home on Delaware Drive, and Joseph D. Whithair, 21, of 215 Foxford Drive in Cary. Police also took into custody Norman Brown, 24, of Chicago; Ishamel C. Bailey, 31, of Chicago; and Rahim B. Conda, 32, of Bloomington, according to the news release.

The men all face the following charges: unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent, unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of cannabis. In addition, Brown was also charged with Illinois Department of Corrections parole violation/no bond warrant.

Bond was set at $80,000 for Bailey, Brown and Condo; at $70,000 for Whithair and at $40,0000 for Hastings.

The investigation was a join endeavor between the McHerny County Sheriff's Office Narcotic's Unit, which consists of a Lake in the Hills Police Department investigator, Sheriff's Gang Unit, Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, sheriff's apprehension unit and members of the .
