Car Crash on Route 14, Sends Two to Hospital

With early morning storms knocking out power to traffic lights, Cary traffic had to use temporary stop signs and the stop and go system.

Two people have been transported to area hospitals after being involved in a car accident on Route 14 in Cary.

The accident occurred around 12:00 p.m. with the Cary Fire Protection District and the Cary Police Department dispatched to the scene.

Lieutenant Michael Douglass of the Cary Fire Protection District said he believes there were four cars involved in the accident but was not 100 percent certain at the time of the accident.

Douglass said it's been a busy day with multiple storm calls and a house fire.

The Cary Police Department was not available to make comment at the time.
