Bull Valley Underage Drinking Party Results in 34 Arrests

Seven of the citations issued by the McHenry County Sheriff were to juveniles.

 

The McHenry County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a loud party in the early morning hours, Thursday, March 29, and ended up issuing 34 notice to appear in court (NTA) citations for unlawful consumption of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.

In a news release, Sheriff Keith Nygren announced that at 1:13 a.m., March 29, members of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office responded to 9118 Pine Needle Pass, Bull Valley, in response to a report of a loud party.

Sheriff’s deputies arrived and made contact with several individuals outside the residence. Deputies then made contact with nearly 60 individuals within the residence. Sheriff’s deputies observed signs that alcoholic beverages were present and had been consumed on the property. After further investigation, those under the age of 21 were cited with a Notice to Appear (NTA) for “Unlawful consumption of an alcoholic beverage by a minor.” A total of 34 citations were issued. Seven of the 34 citations issued were to juveniles.

During the investigation deputies discovered Javier Puga had drug paraphernalia in his possession. Puga, 21, 3015 Castle Rd., Woodstock, was arrested possession of drug paraphernalia.

The homeowner was not aware of the party. The son of the homeowner, Egon F. Naab, 19, was arrested for unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Both subjects were transported to McHenry County Correctional Facility. Both Puga and Naab have court dates on April 26.

Those under the age of 18 were released to their parent/ guardian. Transportation for those over 18 years of age was arranged with sober drivers. All NTA’s issued require a court appearance and their court date is April 27, 2012 at 8:30 a.m.
