Brothers Charged With Beating Roommate

Crystal Lake Police release reports from May 17 to June 4.

Crystal Lake Police charged three brothers with mob action and domestic battery after they allegedly beat up a roommate.

Terry W. Brennan, of Spring Grove, and Timothy P. Brennan, of Carpentersville, on June 2 visited the apartment of their older brother, Edward, who lives at 215 Uteg St. - B, Crystal Lake.

While there, Edward's 32-year-old roommate allegedly did not welcome the brothers' visit, police said. A fight broke out amongs the men, and the brothers allegedly attacked the roommate.

The roommate's injuries did not require transportation to a hospital, said Derek Hyrkas, Crystal Lake Police Commander of Operations.

Edward J. Brennan, 28, 215 Uteg St. B, Crystal Lake, was arrested June 2 and charged with one count of mob action, one count domestic battery, one count possession of cannabis and one count possession of drug paraphernalia. Edward Brennan was transported to McHenry County Sheriff’s jail.

Terry W. Brennan, 24, 38055 N. Harold Place, Spring Grove, was arrested June 3 and charged with one count mob action and one count of battery. Terry Brennan was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Jail.

Timothy P. Brennan, 21, 1423 Windsor Circle, Carpentersville, was arrested June 3 and charged with one count of mob action and one count of battery. Timothy Brennan was transported to the McHenry County Sheriff’s Jail.
