Attic Fire at Fox River Grove Home Causes $75K in Damages

Fire broke out at a house in the 9700 block of Gallek Road, Fox River Grove.

Sunday morning house fire in Fox River Grove caused $75,000 in damage, and rendered the home uninhabitable, the Daily Herald reports. The fire started sometime before 9:49 a.m. Oct. 6, in the 9700 block of Gallek Road. 

The Fox River Grove Fire Protection District arrived to find fire in the attic, and had the blaze under control in about 10 minutes, the Herald reports. No one was hurt in the fire, and the cause remains under investigation. Several other fire departments assisted with efforts to extinguish the fire.
