Algonquin Teen Arrested for Using Fake ID; Another Teen Charged with Reckless Driving

Fake ID

Ryan P. Downing, 18, of the 1200 block of Tunbridge Trail, Algonquin, was arrested at 5:34 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, and charged with presenting a fake ID to purchase alcohol. He was taken into custody at Algonquin Food & Liquor, 1117 S. Main St. He was released on a notice to appear in court Jan. 29.  

Reckless Driving

Isaac E. Faulk, 19, of the 2600 Williamsburg Dr., Algonquin, was arrested at 11:44 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, and charged with reckless driving, speeding, improper lane use, no proof of insurance and tinted windows. He was taken into custody at Randall Road and Bunker Hill Drive. He posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 8.

Retail Theft

A 17-year-old Algonquin girl was arrested at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, and charged with retail theft at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Rd. She was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of her parents.

Felipe Marin, 27, of Oak Avenue, West Dundee, was arrested at 4:47 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and charged with retail theft after he was taken into custody at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Rd. He posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 15.

Gerardo E. Fajardo, 36, of the 1100 block of Denver Drive, Carpentersville, was arrested at 1:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, and charged with retail theft. He was taken into custody at TJ Maxx, 832 S. Randall Rd. He posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 8.

Driving While License Suspended

Fernando Castillo, 26, of the 4600 block of Daniel, Crystal Lake, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, and charged with driving while license suspended. He was stopped by police at Main Street and Klasen Road. He posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 8.  

Jim Doherty, 50, of the 4000 block of Doheny Dr., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 10:24 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, and charged driving while license suspended, no valid registration and no valid safety test after he was stopped at S. Main Street and South Drive. He posted $150 and was released with a court date of Jan. 8.

DUI

Ashley J. Casper, 32, of the 1900 block of Song Sparrow Court, Schaumburg, was arrested at 4:14 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, no proof of insurance and improper lane use. He was taken into custody at Randall Road and Corporate Parkway. He posted $100 and his drivers license for bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 8.

Anthony M. Purgatorio, 37, of Valley View Road, Dundee, was arrested at 2:07 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08. He was taken into custody at Longmeadow Parkway and Stonegate Road. He posted $100 and his drivers license for bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 8.

Domestic Battery

Beecher A. Duff, 41, of the 100 block of S. Main St., Algonquin, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, and charged with two counts of domestic battery. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.  

Violating Order of Protection

Ryan D. Gnutek, 23, of the 100 block of Ellis Road, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, and charged with violation of an order of protection. He posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 8.
