Algonquin Teen Arrested for Residential Burglary, Two Charged with Retail Theft

Residential Burglary

A 15-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, and charged with residential burglary. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, and later petitioned into Juvenile Court. He was released into the custody of his parents.


Retail Theft

Dearold K. White, 18, of the 100 block of Siesta Lane, Carpentersville, and James T. Beasley, 19, of the 10 block of Oxford Drive, Carpentersville, were arrested at 9:25 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, and charged with retail theft. They were taken into custody in the 200 block of S. Randall Rd. They were unable to post bond and were taken to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock.

Zofia Magiera, 66, of the 2800 block of Sorrel Row, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 1:56 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, and charged with retail theft. She was taken into custody at Super Target, 750 S. Randall Rd. She was released on a personal recognizance bond and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 12.

Hit and Run

Melvin Walker, 56, of Arrowhead Drive, Algonquin, was arrested at 9:52 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and improper backing. He was released on a notice to appear in court Feb. 12.


Violation of Electronic Communication Device

Frederick E. Doby, 32, of the 400 block of Harbor Dr., Carpentersville, was arrested at 9:22 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, and charged with driving while license suspended and violation of electronic communication device. He was taken into custody in the 1100 block of S. Main St. He posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Feb. 12.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

A 14-year-old Lake in the Hills girl was arrested at 8:41 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Dr., and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of a parent.


Wanted on Warrant

Mykal S. Wallace, 20, of the 200 block of Amarillo Drive, Carpentersville, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, on a warrant from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office for forgery. She was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department. She was unable to post bond and was transported to the McHenry County Jail.
