2 Injured in Crash at Pyott Road, East Oak Street

The accident happened Monday night.

A 15-year-old Cary girl and 39-year-old Crystal Lake woman were injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday night.

The accident occurred at Pyott Road and East Oak Street about 8:10 p.m. when a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier rear-ended a 2003 Ford Focus that had stopped at the intersection and was waiting to turn left onto Oak Street, said Lake in the Hills police Sgt. Eric Decker.

The driver of the Cavalier, Elisa Dominguez, 18, of Palatine, was cited with failure to yield at an intersection and driving without insurance, Decker said.

A passenger in her car, the 15-year-old Cary girl, was taken to Sherman Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, said Lake in the Hills police Sgt. Ted Ziarkowski.

The driver of the Escort, Kathleen Boyd, 39, of Crystal Lake, was taken to Centegra Hospital in Woodstock, also for treatment of minor injuries.

Two other teens in the Cavalier at the time of the crash were not injured, Decker said.
