Rosalie (Raia) Gossage, 89, of Cary

Visitation is Monday, Jan. 21, from 4 until 8 p.m. at Windridge Funeral Home in Cary and on Tuesday, Jan. 22, at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cary from 10 a.m. until the Celebration of Mass at 10:30 a.m.

 

Rosalie (Raia) Gossage, 89 passed away, Tuesday Jan. 15, 2013 at Alden Terrace of McHenry.

She was born Aug. 24, 1923, to Andrew and Tina Raia in Louisiana. She married Daniel James Gossage in Chicago on Nov. 27, 1943, and moved to Cary in 1950.

She worked at Oak Manufacturing before operating Dan’s Standard Station with her husband in Fox River Grove before retiring.

Rosalie is survived by her children Daniel James (Sandy) Gossage, Jr., Betty (the late Bobby) Poe, Dee Wagley and Kenneth (Lorrie) Gossage; her grandchildren Holly (Tom) Cloth, Daniel Gossage III, Bobby (Kathy) Poe, Jr., Susan (Chris) Howerton, Karen Poe, Tina Passfield, Gary (Jodene) Wagley and Mike (Jenny) Wagley; 15 great grandchildren;

Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel Gossage, Sr.; two brothers Andrew and Thomas Raia, and granddaughter Julie.

Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 from 4 until 8 p.m.
at Windridge Funeral Home, 104 High Rd., Cary, and on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church,410 N. First St., Cary from 10 a.m. until the Celebration of Mass at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will take place at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, Illinois.
