Robert "Bob" O'Donnell, 75, a long-time resident of Crystal Lake, passed away Friday, Nov. 2, at his home in Crystal Lake, surrounded by his loving family and dear friends.

Bob was born Nov. 7, 1936, in Bronx, NY.

Bob, also known as "Bobby-Nice-Guy," had a 34-year career with Motorola. He was a salesman and sales manager in many divisions including international and national. After retiring in 1998, he spent his time enjoying his hobbies including boating, snowmobiling, golfing and attending his grandchildren's sports and activities.

Bob was a dedicated family man who was adored by all who knew him. He had an innate ability to tell a joke at the drop of a hat. He knew how to make everyone laugh. Bob loved entertaining his family and friends at his home. At his house, the door was always open. Bob's one-of-a-kind personality touched all of us in some way. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Jim Stalo, and his sister Nancy O’Donnell, and his parents, Cornelius and Genevieve (nee McCloskey) O’Donnell.
