Richard W. Harrington, 43, of Crystal Lake, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012.
He was born on June 6, 1969, to Richard and Doris Harrington, in Independence, Missouri.
Sports were his life. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, White Sox, Bulls and the Bears. His nick name from his co-workers and football pool was “Captain.”

Rich is survived by his loving wife, Mary (nee Byrne); children, Richard “Zac,” Tyler and Brock Harrington; father, Richard Harrington; sisters, Barbie (Frank) Balli and Nicole (Tim) Bolin; mother and father-in-law, Martin and Patricia Byrne; brother-in-laws, Marty (Debbie) Byrne, Tim (Sheila) Byrne, and Scott Byrne; sister-in-laws, Cheryl (Steve) Cafcules, Lisa (Glenn) Biallas and Cheryl Ward; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Harrington and brother-in-law Mike Byrne.
