Peter Eckstein, 58, of Crystal Lake; Passionate about Outdoors, Family and Music

Visitation and celebration of Peter's life is Sunday, Dec. 9, from 3 to 9 pm with a service at 6 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home in Crystal Lake.

 

Peter “Peetso” Allen Eckstein, 58, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully Dec. 5, 2012.

Peter was born Sept. 23, 1954, in Chicago to Kurtis and Gladys Eckstein. He was engaged to Livia Kurlac for two years until his passing.

Peter had a love for working on his British sports cars, camping and enjoying the outdoors, and had a strong passion for music and family. He worked in the tool and die industry for 35 years, having been with Front Line Mold for the past 21 years as a tool maker.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Liz (Joe) Denman, and Kate Eckstein; step-son, John Raines; mother, Gladys Eckstein; fiancée, Livia Kurlac; brothers, Kurtis and Jim(Karen) Eckstein; nieces and a nephew; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Peter was preceded in death by his father, Kurtis Eckstein.

Visitation and celebration of Peter’s life will be held Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012 from 3 to 9 pm with a service at 6 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Route 176 in Crystal Lake.

Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the University of Wisconsin Foundation for transplants at www.uwhealth.org/transplant.
