Nancy Page Ellison—July 25, 1961 - April 18, 2011

Nancy Ellison (nee Page), 49, of Crystal Lake, passed away, April 18, 2011, peacefully at her home in Crystal Lake.

She was born in St. Louis, MO, to Edward and Rita (nee Cary) Page, on July 25, 1961.

For over 26 years, she taught school, most of those years in the Palatine School District #15. Nancy was a devoted mother, wife, teacher, and friend. She will be remembered as being a happy, fun loving, loyal and kind person. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Her survivors include her husband of 28 years, Steve; children, Emily Ellison and Andrew Ellison; mother, Rita Page; sister, Patricia (Bill) Robinson; brothers, Tom (Terri) Page, Steve (Helen) Page, and Stuart (Pamela) Page; nieces, Karen (Matt) Horton, and Lauren Page; and nephews, Michael (Rebecca) Robinson, Jeff (Melissa) Page, Matt Page, Spencer Page, Kelly Page, Evan Page.

She was preceded in death by her father Edward Page.

 

Charles Leo Elder—December 22, 1941 - April 01, 2011

Charles Leo Elder, 69, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully April 1, 2011, at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington, with his family and friends at his side.

He was born into this world December 22, 1941, to the late Charles and Margaret (nee Scurrah) Elder. He married Gloria Eckstrom on December 23, 1967, in Dolton.

Chuck graduated from Manual High School in Peoria, served with the United States Navy in Memphis, Tennessee, and earned a BS degree in education from Illinois State University in 1967. He earned a MS degree in education in 1972 from the University of Illinois. Chuck taught English and coached at Potomac High School, Momence High School, and finally at Crete-Monee High School. He enjoyed reading mystery novels, doing crossword puzzles, traveling with friends, and being a member of AKF Martial Arts Academy in Crystal Lake. Chuck was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake.

In addition to his beloved wife, Gloria, he is survived by his sons, Rhett William and Scott Adam (Jennifer) Elder; and grandchildren, Taylor Grace and Payton Alexis Elder, and a third expected grandchild.

 

Richard "Rich" L. Dierking—April 19, 1953 - April 29, 2011

Richard “Rich” Dierking, 58, of Crystal Lake, passed away, April 29, 2011, in Woodstock, IL.

Rich was born to Ewald and Margaret (nee Anderson) Dierking, on April 19, 1953, in Evanston, IL.

He is survived by his wife Nancy (nee Holbach); children, Andrew Dierking and Stacey Dierking; mother, Margaret Dierking; sisters, Sue (the late Bill) Behn and Jackie (Jerry) Jewitt; brothers-in-law, Scott (Mary) Holbach and Keith (Laurie) Holbach, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ewald Dierking.

 

Jeffrey L. ClaytonOctober 30, 1953 - April 10, 2011

Jeffrey L. Clayton, 57, of Crystal Lake passed away suddenly, Sunday, April 10, 2011, at his home.

Born on October 30, 1953 in Rockford, he was the son of the late Pauline and the late LaVerne Clayton

By the time Jeff was 12 years old, he and his family had traveled and camped in over 40 different states, resulting in his being full of life and adventure at an early age. Jeff ran track and hurdles in high school and continued to coach track at the middle schools he worked at. He attended Rock Valley community college for two years before obtaining bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education at Northern Illinois University.

Jeff worked within school District 47 for 35 years, beginning as a talented art teacher at North Middle School, now Bernotas Middle School, before becoming an administrator. After serving as an assistant principal at Bernotas, Hannah Beardsley, and Lundal, he returned to what he really loved, teaching art. Jeff retired this past summer and enjoyed sleeping in during the week days.

A practitioner of Aikido (a form of martial arts) for over 20 years, Jeff was a fourth degree black belt and respected as Sensi by all of his students. Jeff performed at the Woodstock Opera House in many shows and musicals; he quickly grabbed the microphone anytime karaoke was offered. Jeff loved riding his motorcycles, driving his corvette, grabbing pizza with friends, and spending time with his daughters and family.

He is survived by his daughters, Amanda and Sarah Clayton of Crystal Lake, his ex-wife, Cindy Clayton of Crystal Lake, and brother Brian (Char) Clayton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Delbert Lee TulockMay 16, 1955 - April 25, 2011

Delbert “Butch” or “Del” Tulock, 52, of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away suddenly on April 25, 2011, at his home.

He was born on May 16, 1958 to Marie (nee Morgenroth) Tulock, in Livingston, Montana.

Del was a long time employee of Brown Printing, formerly Graftek for over 30 years. Del was a person of the outdoors; he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs. Del was strongly devoted to his family.

He is survived by his mother, Marie Tulock; sister, Donna (Steve) St. John; nieces, Melissa St. John and Jessica St. John; uncle, Earl Morgenroth; aunts, Noella Nichols, June Radke, and many cousins.

Del was preceded in death by his grandparents; uncles, Clayton Radke, Clinton Radke, Donald Radke; aunts, Rose Ann (Gazer) Sarvas, and Hellen (Henry) Atchley.
