Marianne P. Adams, 83, of Cary and Formerly of Arlington Heights

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Querhammer and Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake.

Marianne P. (nee Bingham) Adams, 83, of Cary and formerly of Arlington Heights, passed away Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Flint, Mich., to Donald L. and Ruby Mae (nee Pound) Bingham.

She married Bernard Carlyle Adams on Feb. 25, 1950, in Ohio. 

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Arlington Heights and Kimberling City, MO. She served in leadership roles with the UMC and various group including Stephen Ministry.

She was a member of P.E.O. and Emmaus. 

Marianne was an amazing homemaker and had a gift of hospitality. She returned to the workforce in administrative roles. She enjoyed playing in the bridge clubs, loved the outdoors, fishing, boating, swimming, traveling and most importantly, her mission trip delivering Bibles to Russia, and her trip to Israel.

She is survived by her children Deborah A. (Vance) Nelson, Scott (Belinda) Adams, Mark Stephen (Donna) Adams, Jayne (Patrick) McGrath, Kenneth B. (Lisa) Adams; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband on Dec. 7, 1994.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Querhammer and Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake.

Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at Cary United Methodist Church, 500 N. First St. Cary, IL.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the United Methodist Committee on Relief at www.umcor.org.
