Lance Homins, 70, of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away Friday Oct. 19, 2012 at the University of Illinois Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 20, 1941 in Petoskey, Michigan.

Lance spent two years in the United States Army. He was a graduate of Wright Junior College. Lance was united in marriage to Jacquelyn Homins in Chicago on April 13, 1968.

Lance worked as a road driver for UPS and retired in 2005. Lance loved reading, fishing, gardening, bird watching, and cooking.

Survivors include his wife, Jacquelyn; daughters, Emily Homins, Lydia Homins, and Rose (Peter) Lewis; and sisters, Marcia (Gene) Lonergan, Noela Homins, Gloria (Staale) Johannessen, Tina (Jerry) Carlson.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edmond and Irene (nee Suchecki) Homins and daughter, Sarah Rafferty.
