Karen Landt, 67, of Crystal Lake; Loved Her Family and Irish Heritage

Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 4, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home in Crystal Lake. Funeral service is at 10:30 am on Wednesday Dec. 5, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake.

 

Karen Joanne (Barkman) Landt, 67, of Crystal Lake, died Saturday, Dec, 1, 2012 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 5, 1945, in Chicago to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Kenealy) Barkman.

Karen married David P. Landt in 1965.

She work as a routing specialist for Sears for the past 10 years, was proud of her Irish heritage and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her best friend David Landt, her sons; Michael Landt, Steven (Elisabeth) Landt, David L. Landt, grandchildren; Mary Cate, Aidan, Delaney, Thomas, nephew Shaun Barkman, and many loving family members.

She is preceded in death by her father Lawrence Barkman, mother Elizabeth Little, step-father William Little, and brother Lawrence Barkman.

Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday Dec. 4, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. Funeral service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday Dec. 5, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake.

Cremation rites will follow.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, IL, 60010.
