Forest E. Turner, 90, of Crystal Lake, Owned Suburban Office Supply in CL

Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, 2013, from 9 a.m. until the time of the Service at 11 a.m. at Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home, 7715 W. Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

Forrest E. Turner, 90, died on Wednesday, April 10, at the Midwest Hospice CareCenter at Northwest Community Hospital.

He was born in Stonefort, Ill., to Brownie and Mabel (Parks) Turner on July 25, 1922. He married Lottie Abshire on April 3, 1946 in Waukegan, Illinois.

He was a World War II veteran and retired Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.

Forrest was the owner of Suburban Office Supply in downtown Crystal Lake for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club and a served on the Police and Fire commission of Crystal Lake.

He is survived by a son Glenn (Simone) Turner; two daughters Gayle Sandri and Ginger (Broulio) Parajon; six grandchildren Vince, Dominick, Renee, Lauren, Andrea, and Colin.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lottie in 2007.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 14, 2013, from 9 a.m. until the time of the Service at 11 a.m. at Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home, 7715 W. Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

Private Interment will be at the Fort Sheridan Post Cemetery.
