Emily N. Weyers, 18, of Algonquin/ Lake in the Hills

Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Wait Ross Allison Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 201 S. Main St., Algonquin, and on Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church from noon until the time of Mass.







Emily Nicole Weyers, 18, of Algonquin/Lake in the Hills, passed away on August 19, 2013, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. 
 
She was born on November 18, 1994, in Barrington, the daughter of Thomas and Michelle (Melone) Weyers.

Emily graduated from Dundee-Crown High School in May of 2013 and planned to attend DePaul University starting in September 2013. 

She had a passion for working with the LGBTQ community and wanted to pursue a career as an advocate lawyer for this community. She took pride in her talents in Color Guard, theater, debate and music. 

She will be remembered for her infectious smiles and laughter and the way she chose to love life. Her motto was always, “Emi Loves Life” and she chose to share her joy with others through her volunteer work and dedication of helping others. 

She is survived by her mother, Michelle (Ken Tank); father, Thomas (Debbie Lively); siblings, Joseph (Jennifer), Colleen Ingram (Eric), Anna Jones (Jonathan) and Matthew; Nephews, Maximilian, Augustine, Dominic (Joe & Jen), Jackson, Baby #2 (Anna & Jonathan); grandparents, Robert and Louise Weyers (Chicago), Tina Melone (Sycamore), Enes Melone (Bensenville); niece and cousin to many. 

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Nicholas Melone.

Visitation is from 3 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Wait Ross Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, 201 S. Main St., Algonquin, and on Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church from noon until the time of Mass. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley.  

Burial will be in the Algonquin Cemetery.
