Edward D. Barrett, 87, of Crystal Lake
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake.
Edward Donald Barrett passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 in Crystal Lake.
He was born July 21, 1925, in Chicago to Edward J. and Elena Barrett.

Edward is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen; children; Bruce (late Maureen), Mark (Mary), Paul (Charlene), and Todd (Nancy); grandchildren Jennifer, Robert, Natalie, Laurie, Elizabeth, and Matthew; great-grandchildren Matthew, and Kate; and brother Eugene (late Genevieve) Barrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Peter.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Perpetual Care Addoration Chapel, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014, or to the Alzheimers Association, Greater Illinois Chapter, 1111 S. Alpine Road, Suite 307, Rockford, IL 61108.
