Earl R. La Rue, Jr., 83, of Cary; U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, Family Man

Visitation is 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Davenport Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until the mass.

 

Earl R. La Rue, Jr. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, in Inverness.

Bob was born Nov. 29, 1929, in Chicago.

Bob proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean conflict, earning several service medals.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Maureen (nee Bailey), whom he married on February 20, 1954; children Kevin (Chris) La Rue, Karen (Mike) Wanner, Darlene (Bob) Trocchio, Margaret (Steve) Anenen, Regina Beaulieu, Kenneth (Laura) La Rue, Robert (Carol) La Rue, and Laura (Fred) Roediger; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Robert Sr. and Rose La Rue, and brothers Donald and James.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Route 176, Crystal Lake.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake, with visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass. 

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation, 1501 NW 9th Ave, Miami FL 33136.
