Dorothy H. Past, 93, of Cary; Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother

Dorothy H. Past, age 93, of Cary, passed away Dec. 27, 2013.

She was born Oct. 23, 1920 in Chicago, the daughter of Martin and Louise Schroeder.

Dorothy is survived by four children: Dick (Anna) Past, the Rev. Sherry (The late Charles) Hoening, Jonathan (Lynn) Past and Steven (Denise) Past.

She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren: Angela “Addy” (Jeremiah), Winona Gram, Jenny (John) Conway, Samantha (Bret) Godsby, Charles (Amy) Hoening, Thaddeus Hoening, Andrea (Mustafa) Farladzhov, Nicholas Hoening, Earl (Kristen) Past, Justin Past, and Travis Past; and 11 great grandchildren. 

Besides her parents, Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, Earl Past, a son, Robert Past, and an infant sister, Jeanette Schroeder.

She was a member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

Visitation is Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary.

Funeral Service at 11 a.m. on Jan. 2, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2107 Three Oaks Rd., Cary.

Burial will be at Memory Gardens.
