Dorothy Esther Holvay, 89, of Crystal Lake, passed away Jan. 24, 2014.
She was born Feb. 3, 1924 in Birkenhead, England, to Frederick and Emily Eckley.
On Aug. 30, 1950, Dorothy would marry Ralph Holvay after his service in WWII and would share 59 years of marriage until Ralph’s passing in 2010.
Dorothy will be missed by her three sons, Stephen Holvay, Gregory (Nancy) Holvay, and Timothy Holvay; her grandchildren, Jason (Jana) , Jessica, and Andria (Logan) Risley; great-grandsons, Hunter, Chace, and Ryder; brother, Brian Eckley; and sister, Beryl Lamett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband, Ralph.
A brief memorial visitation will take place on what would be Dorothy’s 90th birthday, Feb. 3, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave, Barrington, IL 60010.
