Cynthia “Cindy” Zimay, 54, of Cary

Memorial service is at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington.

 

Cynthia “Cindy” Zimay, 54, of Cary, passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, peacefully at home.

She was born on May 29, 1958, to James Cahill and Gloria (nee Meehan) Matson in Chicago.

Some of her passions include antiquing, crafting, baking and gardening.  She loved spending time with her family and friends and had a special fondness for the Smoky Mountains.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Zack, Amber and Greg; father Jim (Joan) Cahill; mother Gloria Matson; sister Penny (Joel) Case; and brother Timothy Cahill.

Memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington, IL 60010.

And while flowers are always an appropriate expression of sympathy, the family would appreciate that Cindy be honored through memorial gifts in her name to either/both of the following: Morgan Welch Inflammatory Breast Cancer Research Program, The University of Texas, M D Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. So sorry to hear of the loss of my long time friend Ciindy who I worked with at Kuehn and Nagel. Rest in peace Cindy. You had a sweet and warm heart always.
