Brenda Kay Snell, 62, of Crystal Lake

Brenda Kay Snell, 62, of Crystal Lake, passed away at home surrounded by her family. 

She was born March 10, 1951, to Robert and Hallie (Hubbs) Dunn in Anna, Illinois.

Happily married to Ronald Snell for 28 years, she was a loving woman who mothered everyone she knew and enjoyed cooking for her loved ones. 

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Snell; her brothers, Robert M. (Kim) Dunn Jr., Larry (Kacee) Dunn; her sisters, Audrey Snell (Kelly) and Deborah Dunn; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and numerous friends and family in West Virginia, North Carolina, and Ohio. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hallie and Robert Dunn, Sr.; her father-in-law, Roy Snell; her mother-in-law, Ruth Snell; her sisters, Carolyn Robinson and Janet Dunn; her brother-in-laws, Robert Snell and Roy Edward Snell. 

Donations may be made in her honor to Journey Care Hospice, 405 Lake Zurich Rd., Barrington, Illinois. 

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 28, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
