Beth Miller Winstead, 58, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in Woodstock.

Beth was born September 25, 1954, in Havre de Grace, MD to Robert and Marion (nee Scoville) Miller.

Memorial visitation will be 2 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 21, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Route 176, Crystal Lake.

Interment will be private.

Beth taught preschool for over 30 years, recently at Rogy’s Learning Place and previously at Somerset Early Childhood Center in Rochester, Michigan. She loved teaching and was loved by thousands of children whose lives she touched. Beth enjoyed summers on the Outer Banks with her family and the time she spent with her golden retriever, Murphy.

Beth is survived by her husband of 35 years, Russell Winstead; daughters Katie (Robert) Reichner and Rebecca (Jason) Tung; brothers, Alan (Judy) Miller and Robert Miller; three nieces; and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents.
