Bernice G. Palmer, 88, of Crystal Lake; Long-time resident of Oakwood Hills

Bernice G. Palmer, 88, of Crystal Lake, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, in Woodstock, Ill., with her daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren by her side.

Bernice was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Des Plaines.

Bernice was a long-time resident of Cary–Oakwood Hills.

Prior to retirement, she was employed by Big Beam in Crystal Lake for over 25 years. Not only was Bernice an angel from heaven, but she was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her favorite things were her pet dogs, Roxy and Coco, and watching Wheel of Fortune. She was more than just a woman, she was a miracle that her family treasured everyday.

She will be forever missed but never forgotten. 

Bernice is survived by her children Bob, Bernice, Kathy Silva and son-in-law Arturo Silva. Bernice had nine grandchildren with whom she was extremely close: Tabitha, Arturo Jr., Andrew, Jose, Diana, Brian, Mike, Ashley, Duffy and Colton. She had four great-grandchildren: Nathan, Joey, Cole and Cori.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband and granddaughter Michelle Silva.
