Winners of Spirit Award announced

Spirit winners recognized at Board of Health meeting.

McHenry County Dept of Health (MCDH) announced the winners of its 8th annual Spirit of Public Health Award.  Nominations were received from the public to acknowledge those individuals whose efforts make McHenry County a healthlier place to live.  Spirit recipients and their nominators were recognized at the McHenry County Board of Health meeting held on Monday, May 20, at the County Administration building, 667 Ware Road, in Woodstock.

  • Aidan Donahoe, high school student/volunteer, for his involvement in the recycling program at the Family Health Partnership Clinic, Woodstock;
  • Dr. Richard O. Cook, Mercy Health System, for his dedication to healthcare for the women and children through MCDH's Family Case Management Program;
  • Jim Tomasek, Assistant Director, Friendship House, for his commitment to children's health and fitness education.
