MCC To Host Community Career Exploration Showcase

Eighth graders through high school sophomores and their families can explore career options or learn about careers they didn’t even know about at the Community Career Exploration Showcase from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on March 19 at McHenry County College. The college is located at 8900 U.S. Hwy. 14 in Crystal Lake.

The event is free and open to all ages. Students can find out about what careers to pursue, learn about new career choices that might be the perfect fit and the education options available. Demonstrations by local businesses and MCC educational programs will highlight a variety of industries. The Kids and College program will host a College Readiness Zone and will also highlight summer programs for middle and high schoolers.

The MCC educational divisions will highlight such industries as manufacturing and engineering/robotics, culinary and hospitality, health professions, public services, and business.
