Upcoming Soccer, Karate, and Art Camps Hosted by the Cary Park District

Soccer Camp
The Cary Park District and the Professional Soccer Academy have teamed up to bring exceptional soccer camps to the community. This camp is an outstanding opportunity for boys and girls to develop and improve their soccer skills. Players will learn techniques to enhance their skills in dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and defense from an experienced staff of coaches. All athletes will receive a T-shirt, water bottle, and soccer bag. Session one of camp for children age 3 – 5 meets Monday – Thursday, July 8 – 11 from (choose one) 5:30 – 6:30 pm or 6:30 – 7:30 pm. Session two meets Monday – Thursday, July 22 – 25 from (choose one) 9:00 – 10:00 am or 10:00 – 11:00 am. Session one of camp for children ages 6 – 10 years meets Monday – Thursday, July 8 – 11 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. Session two for children ages 6 – 10 years meets Monday – Thursday, July 22 – 25 from 9:00 – 11:00 am. All camps meet at Community Center Park (across from the Community Center). Registration for children ages 3 – 5 years is $30 (n/r $45). Registration for children ages 6 – 10 years is $50 (n/r $75).

Art Camp
Jaycee Park is a great outdoor setting to have fun and be creative. Paints, glue, pastels, and more will be used to create wonderful and unique works of art. Please bring a water bottle. A snack will be provided. Different projects will be introduced each session. Camp is for children ages 5 – 8 years old and meets at Jaycee Park from 9:00 – 11:30 am. Session one meets Wednesday and Thursday, July 10 – 11. Session two meets Wednesday and Thursday, July 17 – 18. Registration is $40 (n/r $60) per session.

Transition to Training
Transition to Training works on swimming technique and endurance. This program gives further training to the swimmer preparing to join a swim team or who would like to refine his or her strokes. This class is for children and teens age 9 years and older and meets Monday – Thursday, July 15 – 18 from 11:15 – 11:50 at the Park District Pool. Registration is $60 (n/r $90).

Karate Camp
Gain self-confidence by learning values of discipline and self control taught in a fun and accepting environment. This camp is for children and teens age 7 – 14 years and meets Monday – Friday, July 15 – 19 from 12:30 – 2:00 pm at the Community Center. Registration is $60 (n/r $90).

Kids In The Kitchen
Measure, mix, chop, and pour your way to fun while creating brunch, lunch, and desserts. Kitchen safety and cooking skills will be used to make a variety of foods. Each child will bring home a recipe book of meals made in class so he or she can continue the fun at home. Each session will cover new recipes. Kids in the Kitchen is for children ages 7 – 11 and meets on Wednesday and Thursday, July 17 and 18 or July 31 and August 1 from 12:15 – 1:45 pm at the Community Center. Registration is $24 (n/r $36).

Magic Club
Amaze your friends and family with magic tricks using cards, coins, ropes, and more. Children will become more confident as speaking and presentation skills are taught. A graduation performance and certificate presentation will conclude the session. Magic Club is for children ages 7 – 10 years and meets Saturdays, July 20 – August 17 from 10:00 – 10:45 am at the Community Center. Registration is $39 (n/r $57).
