Bluebirds of Happiness
The Bluebird Trail surrounding The Fountains at Crystal Lake brings much happiness to nature lovers in the springtime.
Mike's Birding Adventures remains a popular class at The Fountains at Crystal Lake, 965 N. Brighton Circle West. It is led by Fountains at Crystal Lake’s Executive Director Michael Gamache on Thursdays. This spring, class members have enjoyed watching the behavior of the Eastern Bluebirds that frequent the Bluebird Trail surrounding The Fountains at Crystal Lake. The trail is comprised of 11 Peterson style bluebird boxes that were installed as part of a Boy Scout Eagle project in the 1990s. The class is one of dozens offered free to community residents and other area seniors through Watermark University, dedicated to promoting mind and body fitness for life.
